Positive: Spacious and stylish house in a great location. Very comfortable beds. Three bathrooms. Good air conditioning. Great pool. The hot tub was also very pleasant, but could have done with a more thorough cleaning. In general, this otherwise great house would benefit from more careful maintenance.

Negative: The kitchen equipment was somewhat spartan and in some cases worn. An inventory should be taken here so that these facilities match the general character of the house. The host's service was a big disappointment, as was the owner's response to our complaint about it: Unfortunately, the washing machine was broken when we arrived. We reported this immediately to the host, who promised us a repairman and additional towels. Despite repeated requests, neither promise was fulfilled and ultimately we received no further responses to our messages. On the 4th day we contacted the owner, who quickly came by to see for himself that the washing machine was indeed broken. The owner also criticized the host's response and behavior, but was not willing to accommodate us financially for the inconvenience caused (we had to make do with one set of towels per person during our five-day stay and were unable to do any laundry or wash our clothes). He only offered us a discount if we rented the house again. We politely declined this offer. Unfortunately, our experience left us with a bitter aftertaste and we will not be renting this house again.
