Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Normal check-in time was 15h, upon requesting, the owner kindly agreed to 13:30h, which was very helpful. The location is excellent, it’s easy to reach by car and well connected to nearby cities and attractions. The room was spacious, bright, and had a lovely view of the garden, which made the stay very pleasant. The entire place was clean and well maintained, with amenities. The owner was friendly and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth. There were plenty of parking spaces available, which was very convenient. The neighborhood itself is quiet, calm, and safe.

Negative: There were mainly two issues during my stay: Heating: I noticed that the radiators were not warm at all, even though the knobs were fully turned on. I called the owner, who mentioned he had increased the heating and that it should be fine soon. However, even the next day, the radiators remained completely cold. The owner pointed out that there was an electric heater in the room, which did help a little, but the rest of the apartment stayed cold. The bathroom was particularly uncomfortable as there was no exhaust fan, so you needed to keep the small window open for ventilation, but that made it even colder. Since the heating in the bathroom wasn’t working, it really wasn’t pleasant to use. Bathtub: When I tried to use the bathtub, the taps didn’t work. The owner explained that there was a leakage and that I had to open and close the tap in a certain way to avoid problems. I found this a bit disappointing, as the owner was already aware of the leakage but hadn’t had it repaired beforehand. Overall, I felt that both these issues, the heating and the bathtub, were known to the owner beforehand but not properly addressed. That made the listing feel a bit misleading. If the owner had been unaware and surprised about these problems, I would have considered them simple oversights. But since he clearly knew about both, it came across as avoidable and not transparent. A minor point to note: the room is on the ground floor, right next to the road, so you do hear passing cars and scooters. Thankfully, it’s a calm neighborhood, so the noise wasn’t a major disturbance.

Summary: Nice stay, good location, friendly host, but some heating and maintenance issues could be avoided
