Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Spacious rooms, large kitchen, games room, big garden, light & airy. Great location (no other buildings nearby) & surrounded by trees & fields. Cider Farm (including cafe) only 5 minute walk away.

Negative: Previous occupants must have had dogs. The bedrooms smelt of dog. Lounge sofas/chairs, & large comfort chairs in the foyer, stank of dogs and did not feel clean - this made these areas very unpleasant to be in and spoilt our holiday. Worse still, the 4 of us all had bites from either bed bugs or fleas (we are from 3 different households & none of us have pets so this was from Beggars Roost), which was distressing.

Summary: Greatly spoilt by the previous occupation by dogs. Otherwise this was a good property.
