Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Bucknowle Lodge is a really beautiful house with room for everyone to spread out. There is so much common space throughout that it was hard to choose where to sit! It was clean and tidy with a good sized kitchen that we made use of. The location is just stunning and great for exploring the surrounding countryside and coastline. We would definitely visit again.

Negative: Only a couple of very minor things….I had to ask for the code to the lockbox as it didn’t appear to mentioned anywhere in the booking info. There was only one tea towel and no dish cloths. These would have been handy. A couple of the cooking pans/dishes were a bit grubby and we had to give them a good scrub before using. This says more about the previous visitors than the host but it was a little disappointing. I slept in one of the single beds in the yellow bedroom. The mattress was not comfortable….maybe more suited to a child rather than an adult? The mattresses on the double beds seemed a much better quality and more comfortable. Also the pillows were a bit flat. However these were all very small details and wouldn’t deter us from staying again.
