Burriscas Campismo Rural is a campsite located 3 km from Montemor-o-Novo totally isolated where you can get to know the true Alentejo in an area surrounded by rural animals and arvense culture like Olive trees and Cork trees (typical flora of the area).
It consists of 4 bangalows equipped with kitchenette (ceramic hob, microwave and fridge with freezer), private bathroom, a double bed and two single beds, air conditioning, cable TV and free Wi-Fi.
Outside, contemplate the wonderful landscape on the Montemor-o-Novo Castle and on the Alentejo countryside. The Ecopista is located on the tangent of the terrain so you can wake up in the morning and take a walk knowing the entire outskirts of the city of Montemor-o-Novo in contact with nature.
There are animals on the property. You will be able to interact with them (sheep, horses, dogs, ducks, guinea pigs ...) and bring your pet during your stay. There is also the possibility to venture in a riding class or horseback riding with prior appointment.

Summary: Although pleasantly rural and run by very friendly and helpful staff, this property is still a "work in progress". Spacious rustic cabin with bath and kitchen that as of May 2025 was not yet fixed up much. Access road is horribly pot-holed, bungalow door wouldn't close properly, A/C remote needed batteries, TV never did work, blinds wouldn't open, support for personal shower was broken, mattress springs gave us both backaches, etc. Reasonable price for a rustic experience, but don't expect more.
