Our apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a renovated, historic half-timbered house typical of Wernigerode city center. It has been extensively renovated and lovingly furnished, so that the stay in it becomes a pleasant experience. From the apartment you look east to south, from the palm house at the Lustgarten over the romantic Wernigerode castle embedded in the Harz mountains to the "neighboring house", the church St. Johannis, the oldest church in Wernigerode. In just under 10 minutes you can reach the Breite Strasse, the architecturally interesting shopping and strolling mile of Wernigerode. In about 15 minutes you can reach the beautiful 500 year old town hall, the interesting market square or the relaxing forest from the apartment. A baker, a butcher and a discounter can be found about 300 meters from our apartment.
You can walk the distance to the main train station, the Harz narrow-gauge railway station and the central bus station on foot in about 10-15 minutes (350m), so that our apartment is particularly recommended for train and bus travelers. It is therefore a good starting point for inner-city but also for extensive explorations in the beautiful Harz to the rough and legendary chunk.
The apartment offers enough space for a maximum of 3 adults and one child on 45 m². In the bedroom with a view of the castle there is a full third bed (adjustable upholstered bed) next to a double bed. In the romantically developed loft, accessible from the bedroom via a small staircase (not separated by a door, available standing height for children up to 10 years), there is also a mattress couch that children also like to use. The bedroom also has satellite TV and DVD player. The comfortable kitchen with dining area and view of the "green" offers a stove with oven, a refrigerator with additional freezer compartments, a microwave, a coffee machine, toaster, kettle, dishes, cutlery and radio. In the cozy living room you will find two leather sofas, a coffee table and HD flat screen TV. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower cubicle, mirror cabinet and hairdryer.
