Positive: Nice apartments on the 1st floor of a private house, located a 20-minute drive from Bad Saarow (a good spa complex that is slightly overpriced for its age compared to other, more modern ones in the area) and less than an hour from Berlin. The big double bed is really comfy.

Negative: The hot water supply is limited to only 6 hours a day: from 7 AM to 10 AM and from 5 PM to 8 PM. This information is written on a small piece of paper in the bathroom but was not mentioned in the Booking.com description, which is a significant omission, in my opinion. This is something guests should be informed about in advance, especially those with children who might require a hot water bath after 8 PM. When we addressed this issue, the owner offered to adjust the hot water schedule according to our needs. However, we weren’t aware of this limitation beforehand and were left without hot water for one evening. Additionally, only the "master" bedroom (which, oddly, is the room from which you exit the apartment) is well-heated, maintaining a temperature of around 19–20°C with floor heating and an electric "fireplace." The kitchen and the smaller bedroom were colder, at around 17–18°C, with nighttime temperatures outside dropping to -1/-2°C. I assume most guests rent this unit in the summer, so this might not be a common issue for them. Some basic amenities were missing, such as cooking oil, a baking tray for the stove, and dishwashing liquid. While there is a dishwasher, there are times when you just want to wash a cup or a plate. Basic necessities are provided, but a bit of a personal touch, like a simple IKEA kitchen towel, would go a long way. The trash bin wasn’t prepared (no plastic bags), and there were no clear instructions for sorting trash. For example, I couldn’t find a separate paper trash bin or any guidance on disposing of glass. The Booking.com description also stated that the owner meets guests in person, but that wasn’t the case. The key was left in a lockbox, and the owner was miles away on vacation. Although there was no response for the first few weeks, he eventually replied on WhatsApp and responded promptly thereafter.
