Summary: We saw the apartment on VRBO and immediately fell in love with the clean, modern aesthetic and the view of the citadel. We were not disappointed! The place is very convenient to transportation, for walking to the city or to the citadel. The apartment is very comfortable, with a roomy living/dining area, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom. The view of the citadel through the huge living room windows really makes the place special, and the view was dramatic with winter fog and mist. In warmer months, it would be wonderful to throw open the sliding doors and lounge on the terrace. Pierre was a wonderful host, very helpful with answering questions and very quick to respond. Very nearby were several wonderful little food shops, and a number of cafes and restaurants. It's a perfect getaway for an easy trip, and Carcassone is wonderful to explore on foot.
