Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location close to the motorway but it wasn’t intrusive. Lovely surroundings. Quiet and room furnishings good. It was picturesque.

Negative: The room smelt a little damp and was humid. The shower door leaked. The most disappointing was the service in the restaurant which was very slow. Ingredients were swapped on my meal without informing me. My husband’s pudding was meant to me a crème brûlée made with black sesame seeds, but it was accordingly grey and rubbery, not very appealing. The room rate was different to what I booked.

Summary: A mixed view. Good location and okay for an overnight stay.
