Positive: This is a beautiful place. Great facilities, very clean, good bathrooms, good showers. Great location for Cornwall, is a 2 min walk from Coverack Beach. Nice garden. Lovely terrace. Games room and kids play room are a very nice touch, the lounge is great too. Quiet area. Plenty of parking space. Kitchen appliances are very good quality. Pictures do not do this place justice, very pleasantly surprised when we got there.

Negative: The property does get very hot, even when you turn the heating off completely, AC would be great, but at least there could be fans to cool yourself down. The WiFi is REALLY bad, as in maximum 1MBPS bad. Barely able to stream movies on the (very small) TV. Beds were uncomfortable as very soft mattresses, might be ok for some. As it is very warm, you need to keep windows and doors open, so bugs can get in. One potentially big issue, but didn’t cause any problems for us, was that the key was in the door and the back door was left open when we arrived. Spoke to the owners/admin who said that this is not normal and that it may have just been the cleaners leaving in a rush. Also, do not expect to get speedy replies back from Sykes Cottages either via WhatsApp or the booking.com app. Phone calls seem to be fine for them, but could not get their number until we were closer to the stay.

Summary: Overall a very good stay, with only a couple improvements needed to make it perfect.
