The outstanding setting allows for walkers of all abilities to find routes from the doorstep. A much enjoyed route in fair weather is the ½-mile stroll over the field track to the popular Watermill Inn and Brewery at Ings which brews its own beer. The village of Staveley is close by. This is also a popular area for cyclists with plentiful routes, as challenging as required and always offer outstanding scenery. Guests wanting to enjoy the mix of facilities available in Windermere and Bowness will not be disappointed. Independent retailers, pavement cafés and wine bars sit close by stunning Lake Windermere. Steamer rides along the lake offer a relaxing way in which to take in the views of this picturesque area.
