Positive: The property was clean, spacious and comfortably accommodated my whole family. The hot tub was a lovely addition, and the accessible downstairs bathroom was helpful for my grandma. However, the bathroom door was faulty and kept locking, which caused some inconvenience.

Negative: There was an unexpected £500 damage deposit requested after booking, which felt dodgy and wasn’t clearly advertised beforehand. Some of the decor was outdated, and the 9pm restriction on hot tub use seemed unnecessary. At checkout, the host charged high fees for what should be standard cleaning, and raised excessive complaints about minor issues like food in the bed and stained bedding. For a property costing over £600 per night, you’d expect a more inclusive and guest-friendly experience. It felt as though we were welcome to stay, but not actually use the space - my mum described it best: “they want guests in the house, but they don’t want you to use anything in the house.” I wouldn’t book this property again and would advise others to proceed with caution!
