The "Bucanero" is a beautiful 53ft classic schooner built in 1976 and modernized in 2015.

Our sailing boat provides a cosy, friendly and comfortable environment. The boat can welcome up to 6 guests for overnight stays.

In the front cabin, there's a double bed and a sink.

The middle cabin can welcome 4 people as there are one double bed and one bunk bed.

The boat is equiped with WC as well as a real shower (usually rare in sailing boats). There is no hot water running but you'll soon realize that a cool shower is much more appreciated in the tropics!

There are different places to gather around. The living room inside offers the possibility to unite around the table for a nice meal or a board game. Outside, there's a terrasse at the front of the deck and a hammock as well as other spots to sit at the back by the cockpit.

WHALES WATCHING! Big groups of humpbacks are passing in our area from July to October! Let us take you to them....

Lot of great toys onboard are at your disposition to enjoy your time with us, snorkeling gears, surfboard, bodyboard, water toys, fishing equipment, music instruments, movies, board games etc.
We have a good motored dinghy to bring you to the places of your choice: beaches, diving spots, surf spots etc. and two single kayaks.

We are located on the pacific side of Panama, the prettiest and wildest sailing area of Panama, After 7 years sailing around in Panamanian waters, here is where our heart crushed.
We are currently based in front of Boca Chica, a small village located an hour away from David.

We are always open to your suggestions to plan a route that fits your needs and to make this journey the holidays of your dreams: far from all, relaxation, sport, nature, adventure, fishing, partying, you name it.
We of course adapt the journey to the weather and sea conditions to make the adventure always more enjoyable.

Prices are all inclusive :
Crew, all meals by the French cook and captain Manu, bedding and towels (we recommand you take your own beach towel), anchorage fee, fuel, snacks and all beverages (alcohols - beer, wine and rhum - in reasonable quantities, feel free to bring your own), snorkel equipment, fishing equipment and water toys, dinghy with outboard, kayaks, teaching of navigation and sailing basics if interested.

Summary: My husband and our 9 year old spent 4 days aboard the Bucanero with Manu and Roxane. It was a perfect way to experience the beautiful Chiriqui/Boca Chica Coast. We sailed or motored, depending on the weather to various beautiful islands in the national park. At anchor we were able to kayak, swim, fish, bird, snorkel and play on lovely empty beaches. Manu and Roxane are lovely hosts. The boat is their home, and they are gracious hosts, excellent cooks, and made our experience care-free, relaxing and unique. If you are curious about sailing, or just looking for a unique way to get on the water, this is a perfect way to do it. Once we got on board, everything was taken care of, food, drink and good cheer. The fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning with coffee and breakfast on deck is hard to beat. Buca (dog) was a lovely companion for all of us. It was a fantastic experience. Also, if you are looking for a last minute trip, Manu and Roxane are great at spur of the moment, send them a note! I hope we see you both again!
